Greetings, OCM managers. Once again here we are, 90 days later; to have a look at the performances of our cyclists and the plans for the upcoming season. When this introduction was written, Manager Williamson already knew this was our best season so far, beating S61's points; the sensations during the season were incredible despite a sort of lethargic feeling in the middle of the calendar.
The A.B.A.F Gang (Azargoshasp, Bitao, Aksentiev, Fayard), our fantastic four were diligent and strong throughout the 90 days, Metodija not so much due to some problems related to tiredness and lack of fortune (7 of 12 races led by our sprinters were decided by break aways, four of them with the Macedonian legend as leader of the team). At the end, trainers and staff recommended him to get some rest and have a good shot in the beginning of the season with fresh legs and faithful support of what is known as Green Fairy. Manager’s personal bet, Fayard; was up to the team’s expectations and won his first race at his 29 years old, during Fast on Wheels, however; Zack couldn’t be able to fight properly for the SC because of some crucial off-days and lack of TT abilities. Still, the French rider finished 12th in GC (he was 2nd before the last TT) and 5th in the SC, meaning a not so disgusting gain of points for the team.
Always positive considering his age and now more with his “secondary” role, veteran hillsprinter Bitao kept shining against younger riders and did his part with an amazing win in Gabon and some top 9’s. Likely this S63 might be the last one with a leading role, but Boris is ready for the challenge to give 100% in any role. He has another season in his contract, until last days of S64, when he will discuss with Manager Williamson if he feels ready for another season, on a full-time supporting role and contribute with his vast experience in racing.
And what else to add about our hero, our Iranman? Every season he keeps increasing his living legend and palmares with results, prizes and a new trophy to our official museum. Sam won the first race of Amstel Flanders in the Division 4, prestigious classic Orel-Kursk Classic, paving the road to a very shining future for the team! As usual, the Iranian sprinter did the bulk score of the team, but this time he was well escorted by the other team captains, and the successful periods of top form.
For the first time, we breakthrough the long time impossible barrier of the Division 5 and we tasted the harder competition of Division 4 with nice results. The constant scoring help us to stay 2/3 of the season in the Division 5, waiting that desired and wanted result to finally step our bikes into the forbidden category and we are able to finish the season riding in a whole new division, while making plans for the next weeks, setting higher goals and why not, dreaming of a better season?
And that necessarily means reinforcing our squad. Bragança has completed his training, in the meantime he will be the FR captain to expand our repertory in other kind of sprint races. Another Portuguese (Noite) has joined us to increase the internal competition, helping in the development of a stronger and efficient roster. In the chapter of releases, besides the talents we’ve sold (Seton, Navarrete, Vandenbosch); the main staff has confirmed the transference of Van Espen to Colombian team Ciudad futuro for 70k, best wishes in this new adventure for him.
Here’s a detailed list of cyclists’ outcomes and incomes
Out
Charlie Seton – 350,000$ (Los Aviones)
Tadeo Navarrete – 220,000$ (Vegemigth)
Hubert Van Espen – 70,000$ (Ciudad futuro)
Jasper Vandenbosch – 120,000$ (Waiting Buyer)
Total Income: 760,000$

Total Hiring: 385,000$
Scouting: 90,000$

So, we still managing to keep a good economical balance to continue training. In that department, the staff is working harder with the new trainees (Tran, Hilsted, Feaux and Hanori). Hopefully all of them will be dark green or red riders.
Aforementioned, the team did its best score ever, surpassing the previous record established during S61 (493), and this season our squad was able to score 691 points, reaching Div 4 and winning the first SP classic. Here you can see in detail how captains performed and their best results throughout the season.

We are so happy after seeing these numbers over and over. And simply it’s a moment to enjoy the last days of the season before we can think about breaking our best marks again.
For this S63, we have bigger goals. Manager Williamson talked to his riders and compelled them to win the SP Crown of Div 4 (RotM SC, Baltimore Invitational and Orel-Kursk Classic). A big challenge for our team, but it seems the great performances of this season have encouraged us all. If we can race the three races it will be a good sign of our racing level and winning one, incredible news. But the original idea still there.
At this moment, we are not thinking yet of moving to Div 3, and if it happens, then it happens. The main focus is the mentioned above and well, I think it’s time to introduce our official team for S63.
